Okay, I’m slightly computer retarded. I downloaded a movie on Vuze (a torrent downloader thing) and tried to add the file to a blank dvd. It said this: “the software that is used to decode this media is not available on this system. Installing the correct decoders foe the files you are working with may help to correct the problem.”

Try Klite codec pack. Now if you burn the movie as a data file, you need to have a newer dvd player that plays avi/mpg format. If you have an older dvd player that only plays dvd format, you may need to convert it using a program such as Nero Vision.
Download the Nero trial version which works for 15 days. It will work the first time with no problem as it is the best thing for burning DVD’s..which is illegal lol but we all do it
